About Us
We aim to develop a strong pipeline of young girls and professional women of color to be the next generation of business, board, and community leaders to sustain themselves and their community.
In the summer of 2016, Salena S. Guipzot, the founder of the Boardroom Project (BRP), began partnering with Sam Houston high school students in San Antonio, Texas. The summer youth-initiative introduced students to the world of boardrooms and business sectors. Their summer session culminated in a mock-board meeting and this would be the catalyst for a movement.

October 2019, through partnership and collorbation with Tarsha Calhoun, RN, MSN,MHA, LWMS, the Dallas chapter of BRP was established. As the Board Chair, Tarsha began forming an independent board of directors which would be comprised of 11 other founding members.
BRP continues to grow across the globe with chapters throughout Texas, Arizona and Kenya.
